Ojo Ronke Christiana
Department Of Adult Education University Of Lagos, Lagos, Lagos

The problem of gender inequality is no more new. it has always lead the major discussions central on eqaultiy and equiliberation. In the developing countries like Nigeria for instance, ineqaulity should have being a forgotten menace but for the nature of the polity, nature of economy, nature of tradition, nature of value orientation and of courese nature of system of education practice in the country. The current spate of violence and terrorism in Nigeria has taken an alarming trend with the kidnap of more the two hudred and fifty-seven (257)Chibok School Girls in 2014, many others unpopularised and the incompetence of theNigerian Governement to rescue the girls *I doubt if those rescued were actually part of the 257 kidnapped Girls*. So many of the Nigerian school Girls in the Northern parts of Nigeria are completely far removed from formal education. in fact, it is an understatement to say that so many of female members of North Eastern parts of Nigeria are either killed at their prime or are forced to family life at very tender ages. Meanwhile, the menace is not limited to the Northern parts of Nigera alone, it has actually escalated to the other parts of the country be it Eastern, Western, or Southern parts of the country.

This paper sought to take cursory analysis of the causes, effects (both immediate and latent) of the increased in the numbers of girls out of school on the equality of education and good life of citizens in Nigeria. It equally searchlights the relevance of appropriate theories in the analysis, counter analysis and argument in favour of gender equal treatment in Nigeria bringing facts and figure collated though structured questionnaire to bear on the analysis. It is a Mixed Research. The work equally makes recommendations.
