This paper will explore the ties and connections between women in Africa and in the United States. The links between African Americans and Africa has been ongoing and continuous, as African Americans have engaged with the continent in a variety of ways. This paper will explore the lesser known ties women in the United States created with the continent and its people, particularly with African women.
