A significant proportion of heavy commercial vehicles spend many hours of the day in the depot.

An electrified fleet has the potential to be able to charge flexibly during this time and thus make an active contribution to the energy system.

This is already being formulated as an expectation of the industry.

The ability to be flexible also depends on the charging capacity of the charging infrastructure (LIS).

The decision on the dimensioning of the LIS is made at the beginning of depot electrification.

The analysis described here shows that flexibility causes additional CAPEX, which must be counter-financed.
