Best Practices: Grid-forming Solution for large Scale Renewable Power Generation
WISO25-25
Presented by: Yunfeng Liu
With the large-scale integration of renewable energy sources, modern energy systems are progressively transitioning towards green and low-carbon paradigms. However, the inherent volatility and intermittency of renewable energy have introduced significant technical challenges to the safety and stability of power systems following high-penetration renewable integration. Consequently, the industry has adopted advanced technologies such as grid-forming control to ensure stable operation of future power systems with ultra-high renewable energy shares.
This presentation will systematically analyze the evolutionary trajectory of grid-forming technology and its engineering practices in addressing stability issues associated with large-scale renewable energy integration within next-generation power systems.
