Temperature dependent local structure of MFe2O4 (M = Ni and Mn) determined by in-situ X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS)
The magnetic spinel ferrites, MFe2O4 (M = Ni, and Mn), have been widely studied for their novel magnetic and electronic properties. In this work, MFe2O4 were prepared by solid state reaction and co-precipitation method. The synthesis parameter and the phase formation behavior were investigated in details via several techniques, including thermal analysis, X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS). A change in local structure was investigated using in-situ extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS). The temperature ranged between 50 °C and 300 °C with air condition was applied for this study. The results will be presented and discussed in details.
