Understanding the source of Algorithmic Aversion: An Experimental Approach
P1-G05-04
Presented by: Elia Antoniou
This study investigates the source of algorithmic aversion, which refers to people's unwillingness to use or accept tasks performed by algorithms, even when they outperform humans. Using an economic model, algorithmic aversion is conceptualized as an individual partiality driven by people’s beliefs or preferences.
Through an online experiment, this study aims to determine the presence of algorithmic aversion and provide insights into its underlying source
