Guiding Appropriate AI Use in Math Teacher Seminar Papers

This study investigates how preservice mathematics teachers can be guided toward responsible AI use in seminar papers. Comparing two academic years—before and after structured guidance was introduced—it examines transparency, critical engagement, and students’ ability to distinguish AI-generated from human-written texts. Findings indicate that explicit pedagogical framing significantly improves both ethical awareness and the quality of AI integration in academic work.
