Nowadays, online data collection is complicated by respondents using different devices. Using four waves of the Understanding Society Innovation Panel, this paper investigates device choice for survey completion across waves. It is found that device choice is rather consistent over waves of the panel. With respect to respondents’ characteristics choosing different devices, characteristics related to usability of the device are found to be stable predictors of device choice across waves.
