The anti-pulmonary fibrotic mechanism of natural compound FMI-1
Pulmonary fibrosis is a chronic pulmonary disease and that has a high mortality rate. The literature points out that TGF-β can promote fibroblast cell proliferation and cause serious pulmonary fibrosis. In the current research that FMI-1 has been reported to presses anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory activity, but no study on anti-pulmonary fibrosis effect of FMI-1yet. In this study, we used murine lung fibroblast cell line to investigate the anti-fibrotic and TGF-β effect of FMI-1. The TGF-β downstream signal pathways and collagen expression influenced by FMI-1 are evaluated. In the future, we hope FMI-1 can provide the prevention or treatment with clinical medicine for pulmonary fibrosis
